why have you joined crowd academy?
I joined Crowd Academy after visiting the website because I was interested to know more about how a person who don’t speak/read/write/crunch any form of software programming or code can build applications applicable in real life.
What Do You Like About Crowd Academy?
The two things that really caught my attention was the structured way of delivering tutorials and training videos which made it really easy to understand and how the platform was designed towards building programs using visualization instead of lines and lines of programming code.
Any Message For Any Women Thinking Of Learning Application Development?
Girls thinking of learning application development should first BELIEVE that we are not men. Our social mindset, DNA and upbringing programming will always be different from men. Application development is NOT exclusively crunching code which would be very boring for most girls, me included. We need to use our soft skills and look at building applications from a high-level overview – envision your end deliverable, address the need, develop the execution process and then HIRE a code cruncher to build it (if you do not know software programming which takes years of hard work to become really good at it ) OR use a platform like Crowd Machine. I think that trying to encourage women to code is not understanding female DNA. We have creative skills and insight into areas that does not come naturally for men. I always believe that we should become the architects when designing applications. When it comes to the tedious work of building the applications where crunching code is required, we can always hire bricklayers to do it. The software architects will always have control over design, process and outcome of any application.
