Rami is a recent graduate of the University of California, Santa Cruz, where he earned a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science and Business Management & Economics. Born in Amman, Jordan, Rami migrated with his family to Southern California in 1999. Rami grew up in Rancho Cucamonga, California, where he attended high school. Rami’s parents had aspirations to move to the US to be near other family members after ending their careers as a pilot and flight attendant for the Royal Jordanian Airlines. Rami has five siblings, and is the third to pursue a career in engineering.
Rami’s motivation to obtain a degree in computer science stemmed from observations and intrigue, having grown up in an era of rapid technological development. He found his passion in developing applications. Rami enjoys the autonomy and complexity involved with app development, as well as knowing that his projects will have a wider impact through their reach.
Rami learned about Crowd Academy through UCSC. Given that Rami is versed in English, Arabic, as well as HTML, Javascript, Python, and C++, his curiosity was pricked by the concept of a no code language. Rami’s first impression of Crowd Academy was that the technology seemed highly intuitive. Having previously built web applications, Rami was impressed with the Crowd App studio, describing it as a one-stop-shop for app development, without the need for 3rd party downloads. In three words, Rami describes Crowd Academy as “transparent, resourceful, functional”.
In the next 5 years, Rami predicts that we will bridge the gap between technology builders and users. Today, he continues, it seems as though only the developers have a concrete understanding of the technology that fills our daily lives. In addition, as he’s learned through Crowd Machine, automation – including drag and drop nature language – will replace writing lines of code when it comes to app development.
When Rami is not building apps, he enjoys hanging at the beach, doing a little surfing, and cheering for FC Barcelona.
Rami is currently using the Crowd Machine Platform to develop a no-code complex application for a major healthcare company that will improve internal workflow and generate custom reports.
Rami also plans on building an app for health and financial management. An all-in-one personal lifestyle management app, to provide optimal positive impact.
Congrats! Two Graduations in One Month!!
